SearchRank Blog Is Now Official!
I have been compiling news related to the search engine industry since the beginning of 2004. Mostly I would provide an excerpt of a news story and then link to it. At the beginning of this year we began to change our news section into more of a blog style of format. However the blog was static meaning that it was not available as a RSS/XML feed.
Now our blog is official. This last week we installed Movable Type and our blog is managed through the Movable type interface. This means we have dynamic archiving. We have RSS/XML feeds. We have manageability. Yeah!
Movable Type was installed last Tuesday and we have been working every since to get all the old content, news as well as all our newsletter content, into the MT application. It is finally complete. Boy was it a ton of work to incorporate all the old content into this new publishing platform but I am so glad we finally made the move.
So if you would like to add our feed to your list, please do so. I will be blogging regularly and hopefully I can get some others to join with me in the future. Now on to finish up the final details for the new SearchRank site which we hope to launch this next week. Tat in and of itself has been a four month project that I will also be glad to put past me.
