Email Spamers – Planet Target aka Boosting YourTraffic
I am sick enough of email spammers invading my inbox uninvited on a daily basis but what really irritates me is when they do it again, and again, and again, and again… well you get the point. Therefore it is time to start outing them. This time it is a company called Planet Target.
Here is what they send over and over again:
“For the first time we are allowing businesses like yours to expose your offer to all our subscribers worldwide. Our members have expressly accepted to receive commercial material from our clients. So, your ad will be welcome.
Take advantage of this great opportunity and generate more revenues throughout the year.

Regards,
Boosting YourTraffic / Sales Dept.
250W 46TH Street, New York, NY 10018″
When you click on the link, a window pops up and states that your IP address has been capture only for the purpose of tracking that you are interested in their offer. You are then redirected to www.planet-target.com. The subject line can range from “Hello there” to “interested” to a range of other things.
I can’t understand how companies like this that rob people of their time as well as waste valuable bandwidth and server resources stay in business. I would never buy from them. I guess someone must or they wouldn’t continue to bombard people with spam after spam. You’ll never get me as a customer, Planet Target, Boosting YourTraffic or whatever your name is.

I read something recently where about 6% of email spam actually converts. If that be true, then it is easy to see why they continue to spam email boxes. I guess the key is education. As people continue to become more computer savvy, they will learn not to respond to these types of offers. Until then and unfortunate to us on the receiving end, 6% is a pretty good conversion rate.

I’m tired of getting these as well. I’m ready to go after them. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I’m a legitimate business person and have been for many years. I’ve been considering using a service like planet-target because their price is reasonable. I can’t afford to spend thousand of dollars on advertising with some of the other companies and bulk postal mail is just way to expensive. Ive even looked at lead companies that want anywhere from $30 to $100 for a lead that may not even turn into a sales conversion. So where does one go to generate leads economically. Yes, I can buy leads for autoresponders but a good deal of those leads are just bogus and I don’t want my web site shut down. Any suggestions?
