AdWords Advertisers Can Now Preview Ads By Location

Do you target specific geographical regions with your AdWords account? Have you wished for a way to test to see if those ads are actually showing for the regions you are targeting? Well now you can preview your ads related to specific regions and localities. Inside AdWords, the official source for information about AdWords, announces the ability to preview your ads no matter where they’re targeted.

Go to www.google.com/adpreview, enter your keyword(s) in the search box and click on the “Search” button, and then preview your ads on the search results page that loads or the subsequent pages

The search results and ads are not active, so you can preview at will without accruing impressions or accidental clicks. Best of all, you can refine the results page by adding location attributes and values manually to the URL of the ad preview page. Optional attributes include a target country, longitude/latitude coordinates, regions, and cities. In the U.S., you can also set a target ZIP code or designated market area (DMA). They even provide a link with additional information on how to perform test searches with geographical information.
