Danny Sullivan Bids Farewell To Search Engine Watch

Danny SullivanAs promised earlier this year, Danny Sullivan’s last day as Editor in Chief at Search Engine Watch is today. He bids farewell in a post at the SEW Blog and reminds us that his new home will be over at Search Engine Land where he will continue to do what he has done so well over the last decade. The goodbye post includes a screenshot of one of the earliest versions of Search Engine Watch, before the site (and Danny) were acquired by Meckermedia. Later on, SEW was acquired once again by its current owner, Incisive Media.

While Danny leaves Search Engine Watch as of today, he will continue to be involved with Incisive through next year with the Search Engine Strategies conferences. He will chair the SES New York 2007 event, then co-chair the San Jose show and take part in Chicago at the end of 2007 as a speaker and moderator.

Additionally Danny will hang up his administrator and moderating badge for the Search Engine Watch forums and will become a regular member. He has bid farewell there in a thread titled “Best Wishes, Search Engine Watch!” It is in this thread that you can bid Danny farewell, at least from Search Engine Watch. We all know that he will continue to be a prominent voice in the industry, just at a different venue.
