I wonder if he'd be happy to equate the responsibility of baking a cake to the responsibility for the SEO decisions which could make or break a small company or cost larger one millions! One day, maybe, when a company is part of a group like SEMPO then that group might step in to censure comments and protect the reputation of the industry. Here in the UK all Doctors are part of the General Medical Council. If Dr X said, "The flu vaccine is bad and wrong, don't waste your time with the flu vaccine" the GMC would hold her to account.
