Elisabeth Osmeloski Leaves Search Engine Watch, Begins New Venture

Sad news out of Search Engine Watch - Elisabeth Osmeloski is leaving her position as Editor to start a new venture with Zonder.com, a vacation rentals company. Zonder is a venture capital funded start-up, based in Salt Lake City where Elisabeth calls home. She will become Director of Online Media for the company. Nobody has been named officially to take over her role at SEW, however Rob Kerry (aka EvilGreenMonkey) has been appointed "Forums Editor" over the Search Engine Watch Forums.

I first met Elisabeth, whom we all call "Elis," on High Rankings Forum where she served as a forum moderator along with myself. The first time I met her in "real life" was at the 2004 Search Engine Strategies conference in San Jose. When Search Engine Watch launched their forum, Elisabeth was hired on as its editor. That was a little over two years ago. She was instrumental in bringing me on as a moderator at Search Engine Watch Forums as well as inviting me to sit on a panel at SEW Live Anaheim in 2005.

She will not be completely absent from the forums as she plans to stay on in a moderator role as well as continue to attend as many industry conferences as possible. Never the less, we will miss her in her daily role at Search Engine Watch as well as her active role in future Search Engine Strategies conferences (although she is still responsible for programming the SES Travel conference that will be held July 26-27th in Seattle, WA).

I congratulate Elis on her new role at Zonder.com and wish her the utmost success in that new venture.
