You are 100% right, it’s like if those webmasters want to get penalized for selling links… Even SEO savvy webmasters still use things like what you point out.

Overall, you make some good points. However, the “sponsored links” tag is not how Google is finding clusted links. In fact, I recently wrote a script that can display most paid links.

It’s functional and accurate about 98% of the time. You’ll see it when the site is launched in early September.
