Speaking at SMX West Next Week
I'll be speaking at SMX West next week in a session entitled "Reputation Monitoring & Management Through Search" which
explores ways companies and individuals can monitor and manage their online reputation as seen in the search results. I will demonstrate how to use social media profiles such as LinkedIn, Flickr, YouTube, etc.
to help manage the first three pages of results when someone searches for a company or brand name. It is certainly not the only way to manage online reputation but one that is certainly available and one of the
best things about social media profiles - they are free.
I will be joined by Jonathan Ashton, Andy Beal, Chris Bennett and
Veronica "Niki" Fielding as well as Jeffrey K. Rohrs who will be moderating the session. It will be held on
Wednesday at 1:30 pm. If you are attending SMX West, be sure to stop by and say hello. The conference starts on Tuesday and runs through Thursday and is being held in Santa Clara, California at the Santa Clara
Convention Center.
In additional to speaking, I will also be "live blogging" the following sessions for Search Engine Roundtable:
- Search Marketing & Persona Models
- Defending Your Paid Search Budget Against New Ad Fads
- Sponsor Session: In Depth with SEOmoz PRO
- Growing Your Small SEM Firm
