YouTube Offers a New Set of APIs

Mashable reports that YouTube has answered the call of making sure you can see your favorite videos just about anywhere. The popular video site has announced they are launching several new APIs that will let you be even more interactive with their service from just about anywhere.

Here are some features surrounding the new APIs:

  • There is now the ability to allow visitors to your site to log into their video account and upload their new videos directly, keeping them from ever leaving your site.

  • You can now enable what is called the "chromeless" player which in essence is a stripped down version of the YouTube player with no controls or chrome around the outside so you can have full control on how the video player looks on your site.

  • The APIs are also now available in 18 languages for all of the countries YouTube currently supports. Therefore, non-English sites will be able to jump into the fun finally.

They have even created a video that explains the new features in more detail.
