Good articale and very true. If you are going to submit to social site then try some of the smaller ones to get front page exposure

The other thing is do not submit too much. Many people start doing way too much social bookmarking and if you are doing it for seo, Google will start making the links worth nothing if you do it too fast. In essence, you will be wasting your time.

The only reason I would do it is for SEO reasons, not necessarily for actual direct traffic because it isn’t what I would call targeted traffic. Great tips! I agree that it can be really successful if done correctly.

well I sort of agree. Submitted some sites to link sprocket and got a huge fury of hits when the sort was on the front page but this didnt convert well. So if you want traffic thats fine but it needs to convert to clicks?

Thanks for the information. I spend alot of time doing just this and and you are right, people do need to follow a set of guidelines.
