Have you got any tips or ideas on how to brand yourself as a certain type of company?

Like for example the way Virgin have branded themselves as a youthful, fun and friendly brand?

What kind of activities could you do in an online capacity to emulate this?

There is also one way to tacle the problem. This is something that I wish wouldn´t exist but it does. You can allways send a ticket to Google and present your problem. If saying that the negative writing in the web is false and you are taking this to court might make Google to drop that site from their index. After all they don´t want to loose their advertisers. When the case is 50/50 Google tends to favor the deindexing choice.

Hi David

Very interesting! The 5th point talks about tracking your brand and building links to push your sites up and negative comments down the organic search ranking. I think there is a second element to this which is using the data to drive real business changes - on a strategic business level.
