Surely we have all heard about Twitter by now but exactly is a “retweet?” Think of the word “repeat” and you essentially have the same meaning regarding Twitter. In a nutshell, retweet = RT @username + original tweet. And why is retweeting important? It allows Twitter users to share other people’s posts with their network of followers. As marketers, we want retweets as it allows our posts and content to reach a wider spectrum of users beyond our own following.
